Small Grants
The U.S. Mission in Swaziland Assistance Program consists of two small-scale development funds to assist and encourage communities to develop initiatives aimed at broadening civil society, improving basic socioeconomic conditions, and encouraging democracy, good governance, and human rights.
The Ambassador’s Special Self-Help Fund provides funding to help community-based organizations launch small-scale sustainable development projects for income generation and quality of life improvements. (NO FUNDING IS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME FOR SSHF)
The Democracy and Human Rights Fund provides funding for small-scale projects led by civil society leaders, non-governmental or community-based organizations, or groups that promote political pluralism and protect and advance human rights (NO FUNDING IS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME FOR DHRF)
Together, these programs provide assistance in building a healthier and more productive society, achieving more accountable governance, and generating broad economic opportunities in Swaziland.
